Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
Optional Ingredients
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granola or crushed nuts for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Mix yogurt and sweeteners: In a mixing bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add strawberries: Gently fold in the chopped fresh strawberries to maintain their texture.
- Scoop the mixture: Using a spoon, drop small dollops of the yogurt and strawberry mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart to prevent sticking together.
- Add toppings: If desired, sprinkle granola or crushed nuts on top of each dollop for added crunch and texture.
- Freeze the bites: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and allow the yogurt bites to freeze for 2–3 hours or until fully solid.
- Store the bites: Once frozen, transfer the yogurt bites to an airtight container and keep them stored in the freezer until ready to enjoy.
Notes
- Use silicone molds for fun shapes and easier removal of the bites.
- For a smoother texture, blend the strawberries into the yogurt instead of folding them in.
- Perfect for all ages as a cooling, healthy snack on warm days.
