Description

Santa Snowball Punch is a festive, creamy holiday drink combining lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, and coconut milk with scoops of vanilla ice cream that resemble snowballs. This non-alcoholic punch is refreshing, easy to make, and perfect for holiday gatherings with its playful presentation and delicious tropical flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 4 cups lemon-lime soda (chilled)
  • 2 cups pineapple juice (chilled)
  • 1 cup coconut milk or cream of coconut

Ice Cream & Garnishes

  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
  • Red sanding sugar or sprinkles (for rimming glasses)
  • Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
  • Mini candy canes (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Glasses: If desired, rim the glasses by dipping them in water or light corn syrup, then into red sanding sugar to add a festive, sparkling edge.
  2. Make Punch Base: In a large punch bowl, combine the chilled lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, and coconut milk. Stir gently to mix the flavors without flattening the soda.
  3. Add Ice Cream “Snowballs”: Add scoops of vanilla ice cream on top of the punch surface to resemble snowballs. You can let the ice cream melt slightly for a creamy texture or serve immediately for a fizzy float effect.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Ladle the punch into the prepared glasses and garnish each with a maraschino cherry and a mini candy cane for a fun holiday touch.

Notes

  • For an adult version, add 1 cup of coconut rum or white rum to the punch base.
  • You can prepare the punch base ahead of time and add the ice cream just before serving to keep it fresh.
  • For a richer coconut flavor, substitute cream of coconut in place of coconut milk.
