Steak:
- 1 1/2 pounds flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Vegetables:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
Sauce:
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: Combine sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Sear the Steak: Heat oil in a skillet, sear the beef until browned. Set aside.
- Prepare Vegetables: Stir-fry peppers and onion until tender. Add garlic and ginger.
- Cook: Return beef to the pan. Mix sauces and broth, pour over beef and vegetables. Cook until sauce thickens.
- Serve: Enjoy hot over steamed rice.
