Description

Mississippi Chicken is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish cooked in a slow cooker. Tender chicken infused with ranch and au jus flavors, along with a hint of tangy pepperoncini, makes for a delicious meal served over mashed potatoes or on a sandwich roll.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 (1 oz) packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 6–8 pepperoncini peppers (whole or sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons juice from the pepperoncini jar

Instructions

  1. Place the Chicken: Put the chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Add Seasonings: Sprinkle ranch and au jus mixes over the chicken.
  3. Top with Ingredients: Add butter, pepperoncini peppers, and juice.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 4–5 hours.
  5. Shred and Serve: Shred the chicken, mix with juices, and serve hot.
