Description

This Lucky Charms Fudge recipe combines the creamy richness of white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk with the nostalgic crunch of Lucky Charms cereal. Tinted lightly green, this fun and festive fudge is perfect for holiday treats, party desserts, or anytime you want a colorful, delightful sweet. No baking is required, and the fudge sets firmly after refrigeration, offering a smooth, creamy texture with bursts of marshmallow magic in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 1 stick of butter – softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups white chocolate almond bark (melting chocolate)
  • 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)

Add-ins

  • 2 cups Lucky Charms cereal, divided (1 cup mixed into fudge, 1 cup for topping)
  • Green food coloring gel, a few drops to achieve light green color

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Spray a 9-inch square baking pan with cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease removal.
  2. Cream Butter, Sugar, and Vanilla: In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, beat the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Heat the Flour: Place the flour in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it until hot, about 1 1/2 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even heating.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: Add the hot flour and salt to the butter mixture and mix until fully smooth and incorporated.
  5. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate almond bark in the microwave using 10-second intervals, stirring well between each interval to avoid burning, until completely melted.
  6. Mix Condensed Milk and Chocolate: Stir the Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk into the melted white chocolate until the mixture is smooth.
  7. Incorporate Chocolate Mixture: Add the white chocolate and condensed milk mixture into the mixing bowl with the flour mixture. Mix on low speed until fully blended and smooth.
  8. Add Color: Add green food coloring gel a few drops at a time to the fudge mixture until achieving a light green color, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  9. Add Lucky Charms Cereal: Gently fold half of the Lucky Charms (1 cup) into the fudge mixture, distributing them evenly without crushing.
  10. Transfer to Pan: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Use a spatula or the back of a large spoon to press the fudge evenly into the pan for a uniform layer.
  11. Add Topping: Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of Lucky Charms cereal evenly over the top of the fudge layer, lightly pressing them into the surface to adhere.
  12. Refrigerate to Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or longer if needed, until the fudge is firm and set.
  13. Cut and Serve: Once set, remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into 1 to 2-inch squares. Arrange on a serving plate or platter and enjoy your colorful Lucky Charms fudge!

Notes

  • Microwaving the flour helps eliminate the raw taste and ensures a smooth texture.
  • Use a good quality white chocolate almond bark for easy melting and best flavor.
  • Be sure to fold in the cereal gently to keep the Lucky Charms pieces intact for texture.
  • The green food coloring is optional but adds a nice festive touch; adjust amount to desired shade.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Cut fudge into small squares due to its rich and sweet flavor.
