Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust
Jell-O Layers
- 1 (3 oz) box lemon Jell-O
- 1 (3 oz) box grape Jell-O
- 1 (3 oz) box berry blue Jell-O
- 3 cups boiling water (1 cup per Jell-O flavor)
- 3 cups cold water (1 cup per Jell-O flavor)
Cream Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups whipped topping
Decoration
- Whipped cream
- Pastel sprinkles
- Candy eggs
Instructions
- Prepare the Lemon Layer: Dissolve the lemon Jell-O powder in 1 cup boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved. Add 1 cup cold water and stir to combine. In a separate bowl, blend in the softened cream cheese and whipped topping until smooth. Pour this lemon mixture evenly into the pre-made graham cracker crust. Refrigerate and chill for 30 minutes to set.
- Make the Blue Layer: Repeat the process with the berry blue Jell-O: dissolve the powder in 1 cup boiling water, add 1 cup cold water, and mix well. Blend in the softened cream cheese and whipped topping until smooth. Gently pour this blue layer over the set lemon layer to avoid mixing layers. Refrigerate again.
- Add the Grape Layer: Prepare the grape Jell-O in the same manner by dissolving the powder in 1 cup boiling water, adding 1 cup cold water, and mixing. Incorporate the softened cream cheese and whipped topping to create a smooth mixture. Carefully pour this final grape layer over the blue layer. Return the pie to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
- Decorate and Serve: Once fully chilled and set, top the pie with whipped cream. Sprinkle pastel sprinkles evenly over the top and place candy eggs as desired for a festive Easter look. Slice and serve chilled for best results.
Notes
- Ensure each Jell-O layer is fully dissolved in boiling water before adding cold water to guarantee proper setting.
- Softening the cream cheese before mixing helps achieve a smooth, creamy texture without lumps.
- Pour each layer slowly and gently over the back of a spoon to prevent layers from mixing.
- Allowing the pie to chill for at least 4 hours ensures firm, clean layers when slicing.
- Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water and wiped dry for clean slices.
