Scale
Meat and Vegetables
- 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 ½ pounds baby red or gold potatoes, quartered
Seasonings and Toppings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
Other
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare crockpot: Spray the inside of a 6-quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Toss steak and potatoes: In a large bowl, combine the cubed sirloin steak and quartered baby potatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the mixture. Toss well until everything is evenly coated with the seasonings and oil.
- Cook in crockpot: Transfer the seasoned steak and potatoes mixture into the crockpot, spreading it into an even layer. Cover with the lid and cook on low heat for 6–7 hours or on high heat for 3–4 hours. The dish is done when the potatoes are fork-tender and the steak is fully cooked.
- Add cheese and bacon: In the last 15 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon evenly over the top of the mixture. Cover again to allow the cheese to melt thoroughly.
- Finish and serve: Once cooking is complete, garnish the dish with dollops of sour cream and scatter chopped green onions over the top. Serve warm and enjoy your loaded steak and potato bake straight from the crockpot.
Notes
