- 2 fresh jalapeños, seeded and chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare ingredients: Gather all ingredients including avocados, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, sour cream or Greek yogurt, garlic, cumin, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Blend the dip: Place the avocados, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, sour cream, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, and optional smoked paprika into a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust seasoning: Taste the dip and add extra lime juice or salt as needed to balance flavors.
- Serve and garnish: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with additional cilantro leaves or sliced jalapeños for a fresh touch.
- Enjoy: Serve immediately with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or use as a flavorful spread for sandwiches and tacos.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, leave some of the jalapeño seeds in while blending.
- If you prefer a chunky texture, mash the avocados by hand and then stir in the remaining ingredients instead of blending.
- To store leftovers, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dip to prevent browning and keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
