Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Layer
- 1 batch homemade or store-bought chocolate brownies, cut into cubes
Pudding Layer
- 1 cup chocolate pudding (homemade or instant)
Fruit Layer
- 1 cup pitted cherries, fresh or thawed if frozen
Topping
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Brownies: Cut the homemade or store-bought chocolate brownies into bite-sized cubes, ensuring they are small enough to layer nicely in the parfait glasses.
- Make Pudding: If using instant pudding, prepare it according to the package instructions and chill until set. For homemade pudding, prepare as desired and chill.
- Layer Components: In parfait glasses or small bowls, begin layering by placing a layer of brownie cubes at the bottom, followed by a layer of chocolate pudding, then a layer of pitted cherries.
- Repeat Layers: Continue layering brownies, pudding, and cherries until the glasses are filled, making sure to finish with a top layer of pudding or brownie as preferred.
- Add Topping: Place a dollop of whipped cream on top of each parfait.
- Garnish and Chill: Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder, then chill the parfaits in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and the dessert to firm up.
