These Cheeseburger Tater Tot Cups are a fun and delicious twist on classic cheeseburgers. Crispy tater tot cups filled with seasoned ground beef, cheese, pickles, and all the fixings – perfect for parties or a tasty appetizer!

Tater Tot Cups:
- 36 frozen tater tots
Cheeseburger Filling:
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ small onion (finely diced)
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup dill pickles (chopped)
Additional:
- cooking spray
- chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F. Lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
- Bake Tater Tots: Place 3 frozen tater tots into each muffin cup. Bake for 10 minutes, then press the tots down with a cup to form a crust. Bake for another 10 minutes.
- Cook Beef Mixture: Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Assemble: Spoon beef mixture into each tater tot cup, top with cheddar cheese, and bake for 5 more minutes.
- Finish and Serve: Top with chopped pickles and optional garnishes. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can make these in advance and reheat in the oven for a quick appetizer.
- Turkey or plant-based ground meat works great as a substitute.
- For extra flavor, use smoked cheddar or pepper jack.
