Ingredients
Scale
Dough
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)
Egg Mixture
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Filling
- 1/2 cup cooked breakfast sausage (crumbled) or chopped bacon
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Other
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin or baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Make the Egg Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined and smooth.
- Cook the Eggs: Pour the egg mixture into a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Stir gently and cook until the eggs are just set but still soft and slightly creamy. Remove from heat.
- Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles according to the package directions.
- Assemble Rolls: Spoon a portion of the scrambled eggs onto the wide end of each dough triangle. Top with crumbled sausage or chopped bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and a sprinkle of chopped green onions.
- Roll Up: Carefully roll each crescent dough triangle from the wide end toward the pointed tip, tucking in the filling as you go to secure it inside the dough.
- Place and Bake: Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet or place them into the greased muffin cups. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the breakfast rolls to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving warm.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the filling with sautéed vegetables, ham, or your favorite cheese varieties.
- These rolls can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven or air fryer for a quick breakfast anytime.
- Use turkey sausage or bacon for a leaner alternative.
- For extra flavor, add herbs like parsley or chives to the egg mixture.
