Description

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 small onion (sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 green onions (sliced for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken with soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Marinate for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: Whisk together oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and black pepper; set aside.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet, cook chicken until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Stir-Fry: Sauté garlic, ginger, onion, and bell peppers. Add chicken back, pour sauce, toss to coat.
  5. Serve: Garnish with green onions and serve hot over rice.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add red pepper flakes or chili.
  • Thighs stay juicier than chicken breast.
