- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together apple butter, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in evaporated milk and heavy cream until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- In a small bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the streusel topping. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans if using.
- Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the pumpkin filling.
- Bake the pie for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. If browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
- Cool completely before slicing.
