Description

Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Salmon Bites coated with a smoky seasoning blend, cooked to perfection in just minutes. These tender, bite-sized salmon pieces make a perfect snack or main dish and are delicious served with creamy avocado, scallions, cooked rice, and a zesty bang bang sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon Bites

  • 1 pound salmon (about 1″ thick)
  • Olive oil spray (as needed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Optional Serving Suggestions

  • Bang Bang Sauce (to taste)
  • Cooked rice (to taste)
  • Avocado (to taste)
  • Scallions (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce and Sides: If you plan to serve with bang bang sauce, rice, avocado, or scallions, prepare these components first so everything is ready when the salmon bites are done.
  2. Cut the Salmon: Using a sharp knife, cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes. Remove the skin if desired, or leave it on for an extra crispy texture during cooking.
  3. Season the Salmon: Place the salmon cubes in a bowl and toss them evenly with seasoning salt, smoked paprika, and garlic powder to ensure every bite is flavorful.
  4. Prepare the Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the salmon pieces in a single layer inside the basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in two batches.
  5. Air Fry the Salmon: Cook the salmon bites at 400°F (200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes. There’s no need to preheat the air fryer or flip the salmon during cooking. Cook until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the salmon bites immediately with your choice of cooked rice, sliced avocado, scallions, and a drizzle of bang bang sauce for a delicious and satisfying meal.

Notes

  • Removing the salmon skin is optional; leaving it on gives a crispier texture.
  • Cook salmon in batches if your air fryer basket is small to avoid overcrowding and ensure even cooking.
  • Seasoning salt can be substituted with your preferred seasoning blend if unavailable.
  • Do not preheat the air fryer for this recipe.
  • For extra crispy bites, lightly spray the salmon with olive oil before air frying.
